Parking and Transportation Services is located on Merriam Way adjacent to the Pyramid Parking Structure. The office is open Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
The Visitor Information Center is located on Beach Drive near the Bellflower Boulevard entrance to the campus. Visitors are encouraged to stop by the Visitor Information Center for detailed information on guest parking, parking meter locations, daily permit machines, and campus maps. Information hours are from 7 am to 5 pm Monday-Friday, and 9 am to 2 pm on Saturday. Call (562) 985-8442 for more information.
Paid parking is required at all times when parking on campus, including weekends and holidays.
Daily parking can be purchased from parking pay stations located within the campus lots. Daily parking is valid in all lots marked as General Parking (Lots G1, G2, G3, G4, G5, G6, G7, G8, G9, G10, G11, G12, G13, G14) and all three parking structures. Daily permits are also valid in lots marked as Restricted Parking after 5:30 p.m. on weekdays, and all day on weekends. Please pay close attention to posted signage when entering parking lots on campus to ensure you are parked in the appropriate location.
You may purchase daily parking for the Foundation Building using the pay station, which accepts credit and debit cards or tap payments at all hours. Parking attendants in the booth also accept all forms of payment during regular business hours. CSULB parking permits cannot be used in the Foundation lot.
Parking availability is subject to change and lots may close unexpectedly for special events.
Campus Connection Shuttle/Carpool
During Fall and Spring semesters, campus shuttles provides free transportation on weekdays to local residential areas, student parking lots, and other areas of campus. For more information, please visit www.csulb.edu/shuttle or stop by the Parking and Transportation Services office on Merriam Way.
The basic campus speed limit is 25 mph in posted areas. In all parking lots, the speed limit is 5 mph. All provisions of the California Vehicle Code are strictly enforced.
Release of Liability and Indemnification
CSULB and the State of California assume no liability for damages to persons or property while exercising parking privileges. Each person shall protect and hold harmless the state and the university, its officers and employees, from all claims for injuries to persons or damage to property by reason of the exercise of parking rights on the grounds of California State University, Long Beach.
