    There are multiple academic advising units available on campus that provide guidance in exploring and formulating academic plans, recommendations for personal growth and academic development opportunities,  interpretation of academic requirements regarding institutional policies/procedures, campus and community referrals when students encounter academic and non-academic challenges. Please choose your student status for your recommended advising unit.

    New Freshmen and Undergraduate Transfer Students:

    Please attend your SOAR workshop where academic advising is provided for all new undergraduate students at CSULB. Click here for more information.

    International Freshmen:

    Please attend Freshmen Mandatory Advising workshops hosted by International Student Advisors from the Center for International Education during your first and second semesters at CSULB. If you are an International Freshman, you will receive email regarding the workshops.

    Career Development Center

    The Career Development Center assists students with career exploration, development and implementation tailored to your unique talents, experiences, academic preparation and professional goals.     Center for Scholarship Information (CSI) is to create outstanding scholarship opportunities for students at CSULB through organizing information in an efficient manner, serving as a campus resource on the complete scholarship process, administering campus scholarships when necessary, and assisting scholarship fundraising efforts.     Counseling and Psychological Services

    Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) helps students meet the personal challenges associated with identifying and accomplishing academic, career, and life goals.     Student Recreation and Wellness Center

    The Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC) is a hub for recreational activities, programs, and opportunities for Intramural Sports, Fitness, and Wellness services. The facility contains a three-court gym, a multi activity court gym, indoor jogging track, 20,000 square feet of weight and cardio equipment, racquetball courts, activity rooms for group exercise, a custom-made rock climbing wall, a wellness center, swimming pool and spa, as well as many other services.     Writer’s Resource Lab

    The Writer’s Resource Lab (WRL) is CSULB’s writing center. Its central mission is to provide ongoing writing instruction to any currently enrolled CSULB student via individualized tutorials.
