  • For non-CSULB students to receive a refund for cancelled or dropped intersession courses an Application for Refund of Fees must be filed in person at the College of Professional and International Education (CPIE) during regular operating hours of Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm, and Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Refund amounts are based on the day the request is received by CPIE. All fees are refunded according to the refund schedule.

    Refund applications will be made available to students when dropping units. Students should file both a Drop (Registration) form (with the appropriate signatures/stamps when necessary) and a refund application when dropping units in accordance with the refund schedule.

    Please note: A delay in submitting required forms may result in a reduced refund.

    A refund check issued from the State of California will be issued for payments made by check. Please allow 4 weeks for processing. Credit card accounts will be credited for payments made by credit card; please allow two weeks for processing. Outstanding obligations to the University may be withheld from a student's refund.

    If you would like to receive a refund prior to June 8, 2020, you must fill out an Application for Refund of Fees in person prior to this date at the College of Professional and International Education (CPIE) during regular operating hours of Monday through Thursday, 8 am-5 pm and Friday, 9 am-5 pm.

    Note: Refunds are based upon the date the Refund Application is received by the CPIE Registration Office.

    Three Week Session

    Prior to the session:

    Dropping courses via MyCSULB must be done by May 17, 2020 at 5:00pm.  

    *Only matriculated CSULB students can drop online. Non-matriculated students must drop classes in person. 

    Total fees, minus $10.00

    Once the session starts (May 18-22, 2020):

    Total fees, minus 25%.

    Beginning May 21, 2020 (please note that May 25, 2020 is a holiday observed by the University):

    No refund May 26, 2020
