    Reminders

    Health Insurance
California State University, Long Beach requires all international F-1 and J-1 visa students to enroll and maintain health insurance coverage before the first day of classes, in order to avoid the threat to financial obligations that uninsured students face. Also, if you fail to enroll and maintain the required health insurance coverage, you will not be enrolled in classes; and therefore, will not be able to participate in the program, which may result in violation of your immigration status.

For instructions on how to enroll, review the steps below or view the video that follows.

    Immunization Requirements

CSULB requires all new students to show proof of immunity within the first semester of classes but the requirements vary.

Although this information is covered during your program orientation, we advise that the required immunization clearance forms below are completed by your doctor, prior to your arrival in the U.S.

If you are unable to provide proof of the required immunizations before your arrival to the U.S., you will need to receive the vaccinations at the CSULB Student Health Services (SHS) at a low cost, or find a service provider through your insurance carrier to complete the immunizations and forms required.

If you are able to provide proof of the required immunizations, scan and email the completed immunization clearance forms to: shs-vaccine@csulb.edu. In your email to SHS, include the following information:

A nurse from CSULB will review your immunization clearance forms and will be in contact with you and the ALI Office.
