College of Professional & International Education

Coding Bootcamp

This program is offered in collaboration with the College of Professional and International Education (CPIE) at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) and The Software Guild (TSG).

Regardless of your background, you can learn the coding skills that employers are looking for and prepare yourself for high-demand web developer jobs. These programs are ideal for new job seekers, career-changers, and anyone wanting to expand their career opportunities. You will learn the skills needed for software development jobs in this dynamic, fast-track profession.

Coding Bootcamp offers two different programs to choose from, .NET/C# and Java.

  • .NET/C#is an elegant and type-safe object-oriented language that enables developers to build a variety of secure and robust applications that run on the .NET Framework. You can use C# to create Windows client applications, XML Web services, distributed components, client-server applications, database applications, and much more. Visual C# provides an advanced code editor, convenient user interface designers, integrated debugger, and many other tools to make it easier to develop applications based on the C# language and the .NET Framework.

  • JAVA is a general-purpose computer programming language that is concurrent, class-based, object-oriented, and specifically designed to have as few implementation dependencies as possible. It is intended to let application developers compile Java code that can run on all platforms that support Java, without the need for recompilation.

Digital Badges for these programs will be awarded by the College of Professional and International Education at California State University, Long Beach to those who successfully complete the program. A Digital Badge provides verifiable credentials, represented by digital image files that are portable and connected to data that more accurately illustrate competency than a CV or résumé. They specifically identify skills learned and concepts demonstrated. For more information on Digital Badges, please contact Denis Arsenault.
