Test Preparation Course

Instruction includes updated information about new GRE question types, strategies, in-class practice testing, and computer section-level adaptive testing. This course emphasizes analyzing and reviewing each of the new sections and question types: Quantitative Reasoning (arithmetic, algebra, geometry, data analysis, data interpretation, and word problems); Verbal Reasoning (reading comprehension, text completion, and sentence equivalence); and the two Analytical Writing essays (analyze an issue and analyze an argument). A review of mathematics is also included.

CSULB's College of Professional and International Education (CPIE) partners with BTPS Testing Service, whose outstanding educators have expertise in face-to-face and online teaching. Instruction focuses on exam content areas, basic skills, and analyzing question types. Our purpose is to give students the review, strategies, and insight they need to get their best possible score.

The book included in the course fee is CliffsTestPrep GRE General Test Guide written by instructors of BTPS Testing.

Please note: The GRE General Test is now available for "at-home" testing. For more information, visit the ETS website.
