What are Summer Sessions?
CSULB offers two 6-week sessions and one 12-week session over the summer. Session I (6-week) is May 28 to July 5, the Full Session (12-week) is May 28 to August 16, and Session III (6-week) is July 8 to August 16. CSULB offers more than 700 day and evening courses (including more than 75 online courses) during Summer Sessions.
Is there self-service registration via MyCSULB?
Self-service registration via MyCSULB for current CSULB students begins Monday, March 4, 2019. Non-CSULB students do not have access to register online through MyCSULB.
How can I register as a non-CSULB student?
Non-CSULB students can register in-person or by mail starting April 1, 2019. In-person registration can be done at the Foundation Building registration windows.
How many units can I take?
Students may enroll in a maximum of 13 units during Summer Sessions (including May Intersession).
How much do courses cost and what are the additional fees?
Will financial aid pay for my classes during the Summer Sessions?
Current CSULB students should check with Financial Aid at 562-985-8403 or visit CSULB's Summer Session Financial Aid page. Federal Student Aid is not available for non-CSULB students.
Can I drop my classes and receive a refund?
Prior to the first day of the session, students may drop a course for a full refund minus $10. Please refer to the “Refund Policy” page for more information regarding refunds for drop/withdrawal activity on and after the first day of the session.
What if I don’t have a Campus ID number?
If you don’t have a Campus ID number, you can leave that section on the registration form blank. We will create an ID number for you upon registration. This ID number will be yours for any subsequent business with the university and will be used as your login for MyCSULB and BeachBoard.
