If a course you are interested in taking in the College of Education has prerequisites, you may not be able to enroll automatically through self-service or in-person registration.
If the courses has prerequisites, please fill out the Course Approval Request Form. You can find the form on the left hand menu, under “How to Register.”
The form will require the following information.
- Full name
- ID number, if you have one
- Course Subject and Catalog Number
- Class Number (4- or 5- Digit number in the Class Schedule)
- A scanned copy of your transcripts (unofficial copies are acceptable).
Once you submit your information, please allow 1-2 business days for a response. You may be required to submit further documentation to determine your eligibility, so it is important to you check and respond to email correspondence. If we determine that you are qualified to take a course, we will send you further information on how to register.
If the course is full, you will need to get the instructor’s signature on a Winter Sessions registration form on the first day of class. You can then return to the Foundation Building registration windows with the signed form to register in-person, or go to the department to get a permit so that you may register through MyCSULB self-service registration.
